Chomps and Kisses!

wpid-20150209_133205.jpg

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and we’re totally that family that buys into the whole “Hallmark Holiday” event. Yes, it’s cheesy and you should just show your love all year round, but what’s it hurt to have a little fun and go over the top with mushy stuff every now and then?!

As a wife I don’t expect expensive gifts or fancy dinners- in fact I really just like hanging out around the house and indulging in desserts and champagne. (Don’t get me wrong, flowers are appreciated too!)

As a mom, I just like having a fun day to look forward to with my little guys. We decorate the house, make fun food, give little gifts. Again, why not?!!

On top of our family celebrations, Brady also has a Valentine’s Day party at his pre-school. This year when I asked him what kind of card he wanted to give his little friends, he said, “Um. An alligator card.”

Well who could say no to this little face?!

Hmm…the Gator fan in me loved this response. The mom in me was like, “Do they sell those? Oh gosh, what is Pinterest going to suggest I spend hours making?” So, to make it easy (on me) I had my handy hubby come up with a quick Alligator card design. After he designed it (and made all the changes I requested) all I had to do was print, cut them out with “fancy” scissors, and glue some Hershey Kisses on them. I helped Brady write his name on them, and we were done!

I thought I’d share what we came up with in case anyone needs a last minute, quick Valentine for their little one. Just click on the link below the image. There are 2 cards per sheet.

Just write your little one’s name on the card, throw some Kisses on it, and you’re good to go. Take that, Pinterest!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Feel free to go over the top and make it a cheesy and memorable day with your loved ones!

Pirate Party- Arrghh!!

Recently, a sweet little girl I know, named Ryley, turned 4. Her momma, Darrah, and I became friends in grad school, and have remained close since. It’s hard to believe we both have little ones now, let alone little ones who have turned 4!!

Throwback! This was baby Brady and Ry right before her 1st birthday. Where has the time gone?!

Darrah had a fantastic Pirate themed party planned for Ry’s big day, and asked if Chris and I could help her come up with some printables for the food and décor. Of course we obliged, and her party turned out so cute! Here’s some pictures from the party.

LOVE this Fleet of Cupcakes!

Darrah’s creativity teamed up with a few of these Pirate printables, made for an amazing party that any 4 year old would love to have! Here’s the links to the printables that we designed with Ry’s party in mind, but would be perfect for any Pirate themed event. There are game titles, thank you notes, and food labels. Just click on the link below the image you want to download and print!

It’s Gameday, Y’all! {Printable}

Soooo beyond excited for the upcoming holiday weekend. Not Labor Day (I mean, that’s cool too) but, the start of college football! It’s our most favorite time of year! College football means  watching “Gameday” on ESPN all morning, eating delicious food, drinking beer, wearing your school’s colors, singing your Alma Mater’s fight song, brainwashing your kids, and watching football ALL day! We love the Gators around here, but enjoy watching all the games, especially the SEC teams.

I wanted a printable that summed up how we feel on Saturday mornings during college football season, and I thought I’d share what we came up with.

Obviously my favorite version is the orange and blue one, but we made it in several colors to accommodate people who may be fans of other (not as awesome) schools.

These are mostly SEC teams, but could work for several other schools. Click on the link below the colors that suit your team, download, and print! (Some colors may show up different on different screens, but they should print right!)

Brother (& Sister) Printable

Recently, I took a trip to Florida to have a little Gator girl reunion and help celebrate my friend Maribeth’s baby boy, Bennett. I asked Chris to help me make a printable that I could frame for his nursery. I thought I’d share it on my blog because I figured that I had lots of friends who may have searched for something similar. The original printable was geared towards being a brother, but I asked Chris to make a similar version in girly colors for all the people out there with little girls. Plus, baby Bennett has a pretty awesome big sister (Lynlee) who deserves her own little something!

Guest Room Printable

Creative juices were flowing in the Smith house last night! I’ve been searching for some sort of a cute, printable, gift tag that could be used to attach to a welcome basket for guests who stay in our guest room. I thought it would be fun to have a little something waiting for guests when they come to visit and I wanted a little tag to decorate it with that would match the colors of my guest room. Sadly, Pinterest failed me and I could not find exactly what I wanted. SOOO, my artsy hubby gave me a quick Adobe Illustrator tutorial and helped me make my own! We made one version with Gator colors to match our guest room in 8×10 that could be framed and another version that was 5×7 that could be printed, and cut apart to attach to a gift basket. Then we made both in another green and brown color scheme. I thought I’d share in case anyone else was interested in using these. Just click on the link below the version you like and print!
